Wi-Charge, a global leader in wireless power solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Dolphin Digital, a pioneer in the Retail Media Network (RMN) specializing in digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising solutions. This collaboration integrates Wi-Charge's advanced wireless power technology into Dolphin Digital's next-generation retail displays, creating a first-of-its-kind, truly wireless DOOH solution with smart sensors for retail environments.
By embedding Wi-Charge's long-range wireless power system directly into Dolphin Digital's displays, this partnership removes traditional installation barriers by eliminating the need for power cords or battery replacements. Dolphin Digital's displays can now be seamlessly placed in high-traffic retail locations and high-margin categories, including on glass cooler doors or on store shelves right next to products enabling brands and retailers to position high-impact video ads exactly where purchase decisions happen. These displays can not only deliver content without a power chord but also integrate sensors that can track consumer behavior.
Dolphin Digital's wirelessly powered displays, featuring Wi-Charge technology, will be deployed in 4,000 Stores across 90 Designated Market Areas (DMAs) in the United States. These DMAs cover major metropolitan hubs such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Miami, and Dallas.
As part of this rollout, Dolphin Digital is integrating Wi-Charge's technology into its displays and deploying them in thousands of retail locations over the next 30 months, starting with the Affordable Buying Group's (ABG) network of 900 convenience stores. This initiative will enable localized promotions for leading beverage brands like Pepsi and Dr. Pepper, delivering a continuous stream of engaging, targeted ads at the critical point of purchase—driving both consumer engagement and sales.
