AEC-Q101 is a qualification standard for discrete semiconductors in automotive applications. This standard was developed by the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC), established in the 1990s by Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors. The standard defines the test conditions, methods, and acceptance criteria that semiconductor components such as diodes, transistors, and other discrete (active) devices must pass, to be used in the automotive industry.
