Tektronix has announced that at PCIM Europe, 2023 the company will present a wide range of test and measurement products and software solutions for power electronics that can be used from component design through system production. Tektronix experts will also be at their booth discussing the latest power test solutions designed to solve unique test and measurement challenges in the precise, automated characterization of power semiconductors and measurement of power conversion in electrified vehicles.
The Tektronix booth will feature dedicated power workstations on:
- Analysis of dynamically switching power conversion signals
- Double Pulse Testing Measurement solutions for devices with a wide band gap
- Characterization of power semiconductor devices with parameter curve tracers
- General power design solutions for test bench automation, including battery modeling and characterization
Several experts, including product designers, will attend the exhibition to meet design and validation engineers and directly grasp their needs and challenges.
Highlights at the Tektronix booth this year are:
- Wide Bandgap Double Pulse Test Software
The Double Pulse Test Application(Opt. WBG-DPT) on the 4/5/5B/6B Series MSO provides accurate wide bandgap measurements that facilitate device and system validation. The application is compatible with all Tektronix VPI probes and when used with the TektronixIsoVu™ probes uncovers any hidden artifacts of SiC or GaN devices at the circuit level.
The application provides automated measurements according to JEDEC and IEC standards. It offers unique features such as per-cycle analysis with annotations, flexibility with user-defined reference level settings, configurable integration points, and power presets that can be set based on DUT design.
- Inverter, Motor, and Drive Analysis Software
The inverter, motor, and drive analysis software on the 5B Series MSO simplifies triggering on PWM outputs and making 3-phase measurements. Phase diagrams help visualize and troubleshoot 3-phase electrical problems.
The IMDA application also supports a unique DQ0 measurement that provides valuable insight into vector control systems. It mathematically calculates D and Q from the inverter output and displays these control parameters in real-time.
Tektronix will also be presenting three live sessions at the Industry and E-Mobility Forums and at the Tektronix booth:
