Gaia Converter has launched its latest innovation, the MGDM-04 series, a comprehensive family of high-performance, low-profile DC/DC power modules. Tailored for aerospace, military, and high-end industrial applications, these modules leverage advanced technology to meet stringent requirements in terms of reliability, noise reduction, power density, and compact design.

The MGDM-04 series adopts a high-frequency fixed switching technique at 480 kHz, delivering exceptional performance across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 105°C. With nominal input voltages available at 5, 12, or 28 volts, the modules cater to diverse power requirements within the ranges of 4.5–5.5, 9–36, or 16–40 volts.

Offering versatility, the series includes single, bi, and triple output voltage options, ranging from 3.3 to +/-15 volts. Remarkably, the modules can supply 4W of output power without the need for an external heatsink.

Key features of the MGDM-04 series include LC network filters to minimize input and output ripples, a soft-start mechanism for inrush current elimination during start-up, permanent short circuit protection, and output overvoltage protection. These features collectively ensure efficient module protection, making them ideal for demanding operational environments.

The modules undergo a rigorous manufacturing process, utilizing surface-mount components and automated assembly to ensure high quality. Each module undergoes testing and burn-in using Gaia Converter's automated test equipment before and after encapsulation. The modules are potted with a bi-component thermal conductive compound and enclosed in a metallic case, guaranteeing integrity under challenging environmental conditions.
