Recom unveils its popular ‘ready-to-use’ RMOD series of DC/DCs for mobility applications that includes two 600 W versions – the RMOD600-W with 33.6 V to 96 V input range (125 V/5 mins) with a 24 V output and the RMOD600-EW with a 13 V output and a wide continuous input range of 33.6 V to 125 V. Both versions will operate down to 24 V for 5 mins maximum.
Like other parts in the RMOD series, the new products are sealed to IP69K against dust and water ingress and are certified to EN 60068 for resistance to temperature cycling, shock and endurance, humidity/heat cycling, vibration, mechanical shock, and salt spray. Along with comprehensive electrical protection, these certifications make the RMOD600-W series ideal for mounting in exposed areas in tough applications such as rail and industrial materials handling equipment. The DC/DCs are isolated to 2.5 kVDC and hold certifications to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1.
The RMOD600 series features a metallic housing of just 203 x 115 x 71 mm including sealed connectors and mounting flanges and is intended for baseplate cooled operation up to an ambient of 85°C without derating.
