Toshiba has introduced its latest innovations in electronic components with the launch of two bipolar transistors, TTA2097 and TTC5886A. These transistors, housed in the small surface-mount SC-63 package (Toshiba’s New PW-Mold), are designed for various applications, including gate drive circuits in power devices, current switches in consumer and industrial equipment, and LED drive circuits.
The TTA2097 boasts a collector-emitter voltage rating of -50 V and a collector current (DC) rating of -5 A, while the TTC5886A features a 50 V collector-emitter voltage rating and a 5 A collector current (DC) rating. Notably, the new products utilize copper wire material in contrast to the gold used in Toshiba’s previous versions (2SA2097, 2SC5886A) with the same SC-63 package. Despite this change, the ratings and electrical characteristics remain equivalent, contributing to a reduction in environmental impact.
This shift towards copper wire aligns with Toshiba's commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices. The company emphasizes the ease of replacement for its existing products, further promoting a seamless transition for users.
The applications of these transistors span consumer and industrial equipment, covering gate drive circuits for power devices, current switches, LED drive circuits, and more. With a focus on environmental responsibility, Toshiba plans to expand its product lineup, continuing to offer solutions that minimize ecological footprints.
