COSEL Unveils Low Profile AC-DC Power Supplies for Medical Applications

COSEL has introduced a diverse selection of compact power supplies specifically designed for medical use. The WMA series has two distinct lineages, namely the WMA-F and the WMA-H. The WMA-F offers a versatile input range of 85 to 264VAC and is offered in three power options: 35, 75, and 100W. The WMA-H is a medical systems integration device that comes in two power levels, 150W and 350W. It also offers two options for input voltage, which can be easily switched between.

The WMA series as a whole adheres to rigorous international safety standards for demanding medical applications and possesses a 2MOPP (IN/OUT) and 1MOPP (IN/FG) isolation rating. The units’ design is optimized to provide a high-quality power solution for medical applications, while also offering an exceptional price/performance ratio. This is achieved by utilizing the latest power-switching technologies on a durable platform.

The WMA series is well-suited for demanding industrial fixed applications that require high isolation, as specified in Over Voltage Category III. The WMA-35-75-100F and WMA-150H are specifically designed to maximize convection cooling. On the other hand, the WMA-350H is equipped with a fan to provide extra cooling and enhance performance, especially in challenging situations.

The WMA series consists of five models: WMA35F, WMA75F, WMA100F, WMA150H, and WMA350H, which cover a power range from 35W to 350W. The WMA35F is offered in four distinct single output voltages: 5V, 12V, 24V, and 48V. The WMA75F, WMA100F, and WMA150H models are offered with three distinct single output voltages: 12V, 24V, and 48V. The WMA350H is offered in four distinct single output voltages: 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V. The output voltage of all versions can be adjusted by using the integrated potentiometer.

The WMA series includes circuitry to reduce inrush current, as well as protection against overcurrent and overvoltage. The power supplies demonstrate adaptability and durability, functioning within a temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. A derating may be necessary depending on the specific equipment assembly style and cooling circumstances.
