Advanced Energy Unveils Integrated AC-DC Power Supply for Medical Laser Applications

Advanced Energy, a global leader in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement, and control solutions, has recently introduced the FC1500 series medical capacitor charging power supply. This flexi charge series is designed with a built-in configurable AC-DC power supply to provide the system power needed for medical laser applications.

The FC1500 series features a high voltage 1.5 kJ capacitor charger and low voltage power supply in one package. It can provide both capacitor charging and AC-DC low voltage system power due to its unique design and intelligent control. The FC1500 can be used as a standalone capacitor charger, and if needed, various low-voltage modules can be added to the unit to provide further system power. This functionality provides extra flexibility to power other systems and applications. Low-voltage modules can be connected in parallel and in series for applications that require higher voltage and current requirements. The Capacitor charger capabilities have the highest level of performance due to the unique built-in intelligent control for capacitor charging, higher charge rates, and power limit control.
