Recom Power Introduces Onboard Chargers to Promote E-Mobility and Transportation

Recom, a leading provider of power conversion solutions, has unveiled its latest additions to the RMOD series with the introduction of the RMOD300-UW and RMOD360-UW DC/DC converters. These new products are specifically designed for applications in E-mobility, transport, and material handling industries.

Key features of the RMOD300-UW and RMOD360-UW include:

  • Ultra-wide input ranges from 18 to 106 VDC (126 VDC/10mins), suitable for batteries ranging from 24 Vnom to 90 Vnom.
  • 300W and 360W power ratings, with fully regulated single outputs of 12.2, 13.7, or 24.5 VDC for RMOD300-UW and a single 24.5 VDC output for RMOD360-UW.
  • Compact 190 x 76 x 44 mm baseplate cooled package with MOLEX connectors.
  • IP67 sealing for electronic components and IP20 rating for the overall product, suitable for harsh environments and mounting on various parts of vehicle chassis.
  • Compliance with IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 for isolation and IEC 61000 series for EMC standards.
  • Comprehensive protection features including input reverse polarity, under-voltage lockout, over-temperature, output over-voltage, over-current, and short circuit protection.
  • Efficiency ratings of around 90% and operating temperature range from -40°C to +75°C.

These new additions to the RMOD series are designed to provide stable voltage outputs for 12 V or 24 V networks in vehicles such as transport vehicles, forklift trucks, AGVs, and construction vehicles, where varying or higher voltage traction batteries are used. With their robust design and comprehensive protection features, the RMOD300-UW and RMOD360-UW are set to enhance power management solutions in demanding applications within the mobility and transportation sectors.
