Mascot AS, a Norwegian pioneer in power design, has unveiled its latest state-of-the-art NiMH battery charger, the 4040 NIMH, which offers exceptional quality and performance. The 4040 employs a 3-stage charging plan, utilizing a microcontroller to optimize battery performance. The new charger features a very sensitive -dV detecting system and ensures that all cells are properly charged and balanced through its top-off charge.
The safety protection features encompass error warnings for reverse polarity, short circuit, charging battery packs with an incorrect number of cells, and safety timer depletion. The 4040 NiMH battery includes a single LED indicator light that may display three different colors to indicate the charging state, error status, or standby status. Additionally, there is an option to place the battery on a wall using a wall-mount bracket.
The Configurable Battery Charger (CBC) toolkit, equipped with a PC interface, allows for the customization of charger settings using the output cable. This includes the ability to alter various charge parameters such as dV, dT/dt, 0 dV, timer, safety timer, dV threshold, and temperature gradient. The CBC may be easily adjusted in the field. Additional custom specifications can be provided upon request, such as specific connections, cords, logo printing, housing options (open frame or IP rating), and certificates.

There are five standard versions available for charging batteries, ranging from 6-8 cells (8 A/13.6V) to 25-40 cells (1.8A/64.0V). We can provide custom units upon request.
