Skyworks Solutions will be showcasing its latest power and isolation solutions for various industries at this year’s PCIM Europe event to be held in Nuremberg from June 11-13. Their expanded power management and control portfolio enables them to offer a broader set of solutions to the electric and hybrid vehicles, industrial automation and motor control, power supply, 5G wireless infrastructure, data center, automotive and smart home markets than ever before.
Key products to be displayed by Skyworks at PCIM Europe 2024
Isolated Gate Drivers
Our ISOdriver product family offers ultra-fast propagation delays for better timing margins, rock-solid operation over temperature and time, and unparalleled size and cost benefits. These products are ideal for driving power silicon MOSFETs, IGBTs, and SiC FETs used in various switched power and motor control applications.
Digital Isolators
Our CMOS digital isolators enable the creation of lower cost, smaller size, higher performance, lower power, and more reliable isolated circuits than competing optocoupler solutions. With a broad product portfolio, a proven track record of industry innovation, and an unwavering commitment to engineering excellence, our isolation technology is ready to meet any isolation need.
The Si86S6x products are state-of-the-art digital isolators which include several outstanding and unique features. These devices are robust, with a 6.0 kV (RMS) isolation barrier, and have low-power and sleep modes for conserving power. They have CMOS thresholds, Schmitt trigger inputs, a deglitch filter option and high CMTI over-all high noise immunity. The family also has specially designed options for SPI and QSPI bus isolation and inverting outputs for greater flexibility. Data rates up to 150 Mbps are supported, and devices achieve typical propagation delays of to 10 ns.
Isolated Analog & ADCs
Our isolated gate drivers are designed to provide accurate isolated current and voltage measurement with very low drift across temperature. Based on Skyworks’ robust, third-generation isolation technology, our products provide flexible voltage, current, output and package options to help developers reduce BOM cost and shrink board space for a wide range of industrial and green-energy applications including electric vehicle (EV) battery management and charging systems, dc-dc converters, and motor, solar and wind turbine inverters.
The Si8921/22/3x/4x family of devices is designed to provide accurate isolated current and voltage measurement with very low drift across temperature. Based on Skyworks robust, third-generation isolation technology, the new family provides flexible voltage, current, output and package options to help developers reduce BOM cost and shrink board space for a wide range of industrial and green-energy applications including electric vehicles (EV), battery management and charging systems, dc-dc converters, and motor, solar and wind turbine inverters. The Si892x provides isolated current measurement with analog output. The Si893x provides isolated voltage measurement with both analog and DSM options.The Si894x provides isolated current sensing with DSM output.
Isolated Transceivers
Our isolated transceivers combine robust, fully compliant RS-485 transceivers with signal isolation. These devices are ideal for industrial automation applications that require isolated interfaces for FieldBus systems that form a communication network for connecting sensors, actuators, and controllers.
The Si858x products combine robust fully compliant RS-485 transceivers with Skyworks' proprietary CMOS isolation technology. These devices are ideal for industrial applications that require isolated interfaces with a FieldBus system such as ProfiBus or ModBus, based on an RS-485 physical layer. The integrated isolation provides protection from high voltages and transient noise that could damage sensitive electronic components or corrupt signal integrity.
Isolated Smart Switches
Smart switches are ideal for driving resistive and inductive loads including solenoids, relays, and lamps commonly found in industrial control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLC). Skyworks smart switch offerings are 24 Volt-compatible, rigorously comply to IEC61131-2, and respond robustly to fault conditions like open circuits, over-current, over-voltage, and over-temperature.
Si834x devices provide up to four isolated high- or low-side switches with low "ON" state switch resistance. Si834x switches are ideal for driving resistive and inductive loads including solenoids, relays, and lamps commonly found in industrial control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLC). Each switch is galvanically isolated for safety using Skyworks' groundbreaking CMOS based isolation technology.
Si830x provides four high-side or low-side switches with low RON. These switches are ideal for driving resistive and inductive loads like solenoids, relays, and lamps commonly found in industrial control systems like Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). They are easily interfaced directly to an MCU, or controlled through a digital isolator or optocoupler-based isolation barrier.
