The LDI55-ADEEN linear voltage regulator from Diotec is an adjustable low dropout voltage regulator (LDO) that delivers an output voltage between 1.3 and 15 V with a tolerance of +/- 2 % and a very low dropout voltage. It is packaged in an ESOP-8 case outline with a heating pad, which allows for an output current of up to 1000 mA. Further benefits include low quiescent current, thermal overload, and short circuit protection. When the electronics require standby mode, the LDO can be easily switched off by the enable pin. This makes it a perfect match to supply portable devices like a waterproof outdoor speaker.
