MCC (Micro Commercial Components) has unveiled its latest range of high-voltage ESD diodes, designed to provide robust protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and lightning strikes. These new diodes feature a peak reverse working voltage (VRWM) of 36 V and are available in three compact package options: SOD-323, SOT-23, and the automotive-grade DFN-1006-2L.
The ESD36VD3A, housed in a space-efficient SOD-323 package, boasts a maximum clamping voltage of 75 V. The ultra-compact DFN-1006-2L package, offered with the ESD36VLHE3 model, provides a maximum clamping voltage of 80 V and is AEC-Q101 qualified, making it ideal for automotive applications. The ESD36VT2B, in a SOT-23 package, delivers a maximum clamping voltage of 90 V, suitable for various electronic systems.
These diodes meet stringent industry standards, with the ESD36VD3A and ESD36VT2B achieving IEC 61000-4-2 ESD immunity test ratings of ±30 kV for air and contact discharge, while the ESD36VLHE3 is rated at ±8 kV. All models comply with the IEC 61000-4-5 (Lightning) protection standard up to 5 A (8/20μs), ensuring comprehensive protection for sensitive electronic components.
