Diodes Incorporated Launches Octal Channel ReDriver for Computing and Storage Applications

Diodes Incorporated has introduced the PI3EQX32908E, a cutting-edge Eight-Channel Linear Equalizer designed to boost signal quality for high-speed interfaces, including PCIe 5.0, SAS4, and CXL. This new ReDriver is capable of supporting data rates up to 32 Gbps, making it an ideal solution for modern high-performance computing and storage applications.

The PI3EQX32908E is equipped with advanced features such as adjustable linear equalization, output swing, and flat gain, allowing it to extend PCB trace lengths while minimizing signal latency, cost, and power consumption. It also includes a modern standby mode, enabling power consumption of less than 5 mW when the system is in deep standby mode, significantly improving energy efficiency.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the ReDriver supports pin-strap configuration and selectable I2C-Master/Slave device programming. In I2C Master Mode, it allows for external EEPROM usage and supports up to 16 masters connected in a daisy chain, enhancing versatility in complex systems. Additionally, the device features automatic receiver detection and a "Low-Power" mode, enabling adaptive power management by reducing power consumption when the signal is inactive.

The PI3EQX32908E is tailored for a wide range of applications, including servers, storage devices, networking systems, workstations, high-performance PCs, all-in-one PCs, desktops, and laptops. Its ability to maintain signal integrity across high-speed interfaces makes it a crucial component in today's fast-paced, data-driven environments.
