Analog Devices has unveiled the TMC9660, a cutting-edge monolithic gate driver and motor controller IC designed for high-performance applications. Featuring an integrated buck converter, field-oriented control (FOC), and advanced servo control, this compact solution caters to the precise needs of modern robotics, power tools, and electric vehicles.

The TMC9660 supports three-phase PMSM/BLDC, two-phase stepper, and brushed DC motors, offering a versatile operating voltage range of 7.7 V to 70 V. Its hardware-based FOC ensures fast and accurate current control, while the built-in ramp generator, position feedback interfaces, and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) engine provide robust motion control capabilities.
