Abracon Introduces Low-ESR Supercapacitors

Abracon has introduced ADCR-E02R7S, which is a series of radial supercapacitors designed to ensure very low internal resistance and high power density. These supercapacitors have capacitance values ranging from 0.5 to 10 F with capacitance tolerances of ±20%. They have a stored energy capacity of up to 10.13 mWh with a power density of less than 5.93 kW/kg.

The ADCR-E02R7S has a peak current rating of 9.31 A, a voltage rating of 2.7 V, and an equivalent series resistance (ESR) of less than 280 milli-ohms. They ensure a minimal discharge rate of 72 hours and an excellent cycle life. These supercapacitors comply with RoHS/RoHS II standards and moisture sensitivity level 1 (MSL1) rating, thereby providing better endurance during operation from -40°C to +70°C.

Key applications of ADCR-E02R7S

  1. Power Assist Circuits
  2. Power Backup
  3. Micro Energy Storage
  4. IoT Energy Harvesting
  5. SSD applications
  6. DDR power back up
  7. RTC System power transfer to battery backup
