Infineon Technologies has introduced BTH50030-1LUA, which is a new member of the Power PROFET™ + 24/48V family of power switches. It is an automotive-qualified (AEC-Q100-compliant) 3.0 milli-ohms single-channel smart high-side power switch that supports protective functions and diagnosis in an embedded in an 8 pin TO-leadless package. It is specially designed to drive high current loads up to 25 A in a 24 V or 48 V power net, for applications like heaters, glow plugs, fans, and pumps in the harsh automotive environment.
This high-side smart power switch provides accurate current sensing with reliable power distribution while maintaining a compact form factor for limited board space designs. It also supports long wires depending on the application.
