Wolfspeed, has announced the CSD01060E, a 600 V, 1A Silicon Carbide (SiC) Schottky Diode designed for high-efficiency power applications such as switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), power factor correction (PFC), and motor drives. The diode is particularly well-suited for PFC circuits with output power ranging from 100 W to 200 W and motor drives between 0.25 HP and 0.5 HP.
The CSD01060E offers significant benefits over traditional bipolar rectifiers, including essentially no switching losses, higher efficiency, reduced rectifier heat sink requirements, and improved reliability when used in parallel configurations. It features zero reverse recovery current, zero forward recovery voltage, high-frequency operation, and temperature-independent switching behavior, making it ideal for modern power electronics. Additionally, its positive temperature coefficient on VF ensures stable performance in parallel applications without the risk of thermal runaway.
Packaged in a TO-252-2 format, the CSD01060E enables extremely fast switching and enhances system efficiency in demanding applications.
