MEAN WELL Unveils EMI Class B-Compliant DC-DC Converters

MEAN WELL, a leading global provider of standard power supply products, has launched its new SMU01-N/SMU02-N series of unregulated, isolated DC-DC converters. The new 1W and 2W models aim to deliver enhanced cost-performance efficiency in response to increasing market demand.

Building on the success of the original SMU01/SMU02 series—trusted for over a decade with cumulative sales surpassing hundreds of thousands of units—the SMU01-N/SMU02-N series offers improved affordability while maintaining the reliability and quality MEAN WELL is known for.

The main features of these two series are: SIP4 international standard pin configuration, compact size, ±10% input range, low cost, ultra-wide operating temperature range of -40 to +105 °C, no damage under output short-circuit conditions, 1500 Vdc input/output isolation, compliance with EMI Class B without requiring additional components. The internal potting encapsulation enhances heat dissipation, extends product lifespan, and provides superior resistance to dust, moisture, and vibrations. These characteristics make them ideal for applications in electronic instruments, ICT equipment, industrial automation, distributed power architectures (DPA), and system devices demanding high safety isolation standards.
