The AP61302Q from Diodes Incorporated is an Automotive Qualified DC-DC Converter that converts an input voltage from 2.4 to 5.5 V to an output voltage of 0.6 V. This non-isolated converter has a continuous output current of 3 A. It has a switching frequency of 2.2 MHz and an efficiency of up to 84% (at 5 mA light load). This synchronous buck converter consists of a 70 mΩ high-side power MOSFET and a 50 mΩ low-side power MOSFET to provide a highly efficient step-down DC-DC conversion. It has a programmable operation mode that employs both pulse frequency modulation and pulse width modulation techniques. This AEC-Q100 qualified converter limits peak and valley current and has over-voltage protection (OVP) circuit to protect it against over-current and short-circuit-related damages.

The AP61302Q is available as a surface mount package and is ideal for automotive power systems, automotive infotainment, automotive instrument clusters, automotive telematics, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) applications.
