The SP7662 from MaxLinear is a Synchronous Voltage Mode DC-DC Converter that steps down an input voltage of 5 to 22 V to an output voltage of 0.8 to 20.2 V. This step-down converter has an efficiency of 93% and delivers a constant output current of 12 A. It has an in-built current limiting, UVLO, output short-circuit, and over-temperature protection circuitries. This buck converter has an enable function and soft start feature that allows controlled power-up sequencing implementation. It provides high efficiency, low ripple, and excellent line and load regulation. This RoHS compliant converter is available in a 26-pin DFN package that measures 7 x 4 mm and is ideal for distributed power architectures, point-of-load converters, power supply modules, FPGAs, DSPs, and processor supply applications.
