The MCOTS-C-28V-12-HY-N-M-F from SynQor is a Military COTS Half-Brick DC-DC Converter that converts an input voltage of 9 - 40 V to an output voltage of 12 V. It provides an output current of 42 A and has an efficiency of 95%. This converter has been designed to comply with a wide range of military standards such as MIL-HDBK-704 (A-F), MIL-STD-1275 (B, D), and DEF-STAN 61-5 (Part 6/5 or 6). It uses a two-stage power conversion topology where the first stage maintains constant output voltage over variations in line, load, and temperature while the second stage includes a transformer that ensures proper input-to-output isolation and voltage step-down functions.
