The Max 8C-850 from ABB is a Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO) Battery Pack that has been designed for transportation applications with demanding requirements such as rail, electrical bus, and off-road vehicles. It has a voltage rating of 718 V and an energy capacity of up to 33 kWh. This battery pack provides a peak charging/discharging power of up to 325/285 kW, a charging voltage of 842 V and a discharging voltage of less than 468 V. It supports fast charging with a charging time of less than 10 minutes. This battery can be paralleled with several battery packs to customize the capacity while enabling easy connectivity via a simple installation setup. It has integrated battery management systems for supervision along with CAN interfaces that allow for configuration using a laptop. This battery pack is available in an IP66/x9-rated roof/under-floor-mount package and is ideal for fully electric vehicle applications.
