The EV62314A from ECOTRON is a Vehicle Control Unit that has been designed to act as the master controller for electric vehicles. It requires an input voltage of 9 - 32 V and an input current of less than 1 mA. This vehicle control unit (VCU) is based on NXP Semiconductor’s 32-bit S32K314 chip that supports 4 MB flash memory and 512 KB SRAM. It has qualified in the salt spray leak function and corrosion test to ensure reliability under harsh environmental conditions. This VCU coordinates the motor, battery pack, and other accessory systems via the CAN interface to meet the driving torque requirements. It realizes fault diagnosis and processing, vehicle status monitoring and vehicle mode conversion.
This VCU’s bootloader supports UDS protocol by default (programmed in the factory). It requires two continuous power supplies, and the VCU power is controlled with a key switch. This control unit is available in an IP67-rated package that measures 166 x 110.2 x 46.2 mm.
