The D3C from innolectric AG is a DC Charger Controller Unit that has been designed for use as the central communication unit in electric vehicles. It delivers an output power of more than 500 kW. This controller can be used either as a standalone unit or part of the innolectric’s on-board charger for customer applications. It complies with the relevant standards such as IEC 61851, ISO 15118-20, and DIN SPEC 70121 for charging communication, thereby ensuring reliable interoperability with other charging technologies. This charger controller supports charging standards, which include, CCS1, CCS2, and NACS. It uses pulse width modulation (PWM) and programmable logic control (PLC) techniques over CAN interface for charging communication.

This charging controller also supports over-the-air updates via EV-CAN, making it possible to upgrade the controller unit with the latest standards and requirements. It offers easy plug-and-play system integration for the customer. This unit is available in an IP67-rated module that measures 197 x 44 x 154 mm.
