The TTC 540 from TTTech Auto is an Electronic Safety Controller that has been designed for use in demanding, safety-critical and complex automotive and transportation scenarios. It requires an input voltage of 8-32 V and an input current of up to 200/400 mA. This controller fulfils safety requirements up to ASIL C, SIL 2, and PL d standard. It is based on TI’s TMS570 32-bit microcontroller that integrates an ARM Cortex-R4F-based dual-core CPU with 3 MB flash and 256 KB RAM (2 MB external RAM supported). This E-mark-certified controller also includes interfaces, multiple outputs and inputs, and a sensor supply. It supports various input formats such as 12-bit analog signals and digital timing signals and provides various output signal formats indicating measurement output or fault status. The outputs can be obtained by controlling through the CAN interface that delivers a data rate of up to 1 Mbps or using CAN bus termination (configurable).
This controller’s I/Os and interfaces are fully protected against short-circuit events and the BAT+ parameters can be easily monitored and configured using C programming environment, MATLAB Simulink, or CODESYS. It is available in a module that measures 231.3 x 204.9 x 38.8 mm.
