The CSD 450 EDU from DEEPDRIVE is an Electric Drive Unit. This traction motor delivers a peak output power of 230 kW.  It provides a torque of up to 3800 Nm and has a speed of less than 2000 rpm. This motor can handle DC voltages of less than 850 V and can withstand DC currents of up to 400 A. It features a novel dual-rotor, radial-flux electric machine combined with an integrated silicon carbide (SiC) inverter. This electric motor supports a CAN interface for torque and speed control and has flexible vehicle interfaces. It has a varying gearbox ratio from 6.4:1 to 9:1. and includes a two-stage, spur gearbox with a coaxial output shaft that minimizes space consumption. They are available as a module that measures 380 x 470 x 270 mm and is ideal for compact and mid-sized vehicles and all-wheel-drive options for premium electric vehicles.
