The HCTV EDU from Hofer Powertrain is a Torque Vectoring Electric Drive Unit (EDU) that is designed to easily integrate into various vehicle platforms such as high-powered vehicles or all-wheel drive systems. It requires an input voltage of 800 V and has a nominal voltage of 650 V. This EDU has a peak axle power of 660 kW, peak axle torque of 5800 Nm and a maximum axle speed of 2250 rpm. It comprises of two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) that provide exceptional torque density and ensure optimal performance under a variety of driving conditions. This compact EDU includes an 800 V SiC dual inverter that provides efficient torque vectoring capabilities. It offers high power density, high system performance and efficiency and weighs less than 115 kg.
