The AAHS298B-S-S20B-B from Microchip Technology is a Radiation-Hardened Source Driver. This source driver consists of eight non-inverting channels that are capable of delivering an output current of up to 700 mA and can withstand a voltage of 75 V over the full military temperature range. It provides an interface from TTL, 5 V, or 12 V logic systems to relays, motors, solenoids, and other loads. This driver IC offers radiation tolerance with a total dose of 100 kRad (Si) and enhanced low dose radiation sensitivity (ELDRS) of 50 kRad (Si), and includes internal thermal shutdown to protect against over-current and soft-start occurrences. It can be paired with the LX7710 diode array IC (consisting of 8 serially connected diode pairs) in power OR-ing applications. This source driver is available in a ceramic surface-mount package.
