The Si823H3BB-AS1 from Skyworks Solutions is an Automotive-Qualified Symmetric Gate Driver that integrates two isolated gate drivers in a single compact package to enable high-power applications. It requires an input voltage of 3 - 5.5 V and an input current of less than 2 mA. This gate driver is optimal for powering MOSFETs and IGBTs in various switched power and motor control operations. It uses Skyworks' Silicon isolation technology, offering 5 kV (RMS) of isolation voltage for 1 minute while ensuring lower delay, minimal skew, and consistent performance over time and temperature. This AEC-Q100-qualified gate driver IC features over-temperature protection (OTP), output under-voltage lockout (UVLO) fault detection, and fail-safe drivers that switch to default low in case of input power loss. It provides a longer service life and substantially improved reliability over opto-coupled gate drivers.
