The VOM1271 from Vishay is Optically Isolated Photovoltaic MOSFET Driver that is ideal for high-side drivers, solid-state relays, floating power supply, power control, data acquisition, ATE, isolated solenoid drivers, isolated high current relay drivers, isolated high voltage relay driver applications.  It requires an input voltage of 7 – 8.9 V. This MOSFET driver does not require an external power supply to provide VCC and VDD rails to the drive itself and draws all the required current from the LED current on the low-voltage primary side of the isolation barrier, resulting in reduced space and cost. It also includes a fast turn-off solid-state relay, thus eliminating the need for additional components to increase the overall switching speed by decreasing the turn-off time.

This UL-certified gate driver offers a logic-compatible input and is highly reliable with a very small footprint which makes it suitable for a large variety of MOSFET driver applications. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 6.95 x 4. 92 x 2.12 mm.
