The GD2400SGY120C4S from StarPower is an Ultra-Low Conduction Loss IGBT that is ideal for inverters for motor drive, AC and DC servo drive amplifiers, and uninterruptible power supply applications. It has a collector-emitter voltage of less than 1200 V, a saturated collector-emitter voltage of 2.15 V, and a gate-emitter threshold voltage of 6.8 V. This IGBT has a collector current of up to 3480 A and a gate-emitter leakage current of less than 400 nA. It integrates low VCE(sat) Trench IGBT technology ensuring efficient performance with reduced conduction losses. This module is designed with 10 μs short circuit capability to provide robust protection. It has a saturated collector-emitter voltage with a positive temperature coefficient, which improves its stability across varying temperatures and ensures reliable operation up to a junction temperature of 175°C.
This module includes a fast and soft reverse recovery anti-parallel freewheeling diode (FWD), that reduces switching losses and electromagnetic interference (EMI). It features an isolated copper baseplate, manufactured using Direct Bonded Copper (DBC) technology, which ensures superior thermal management. This IGBT is available in a module that measures 190 x 140 x 38 mm.
