The GD50PIY120C6S from StarPower is an IGBT that is ideal for UPS, general inverters for driving motors, and AC and DC servo drive amplifiers. It has a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of over 1200 V, a gate threshold voltage of 6 V, and a saturated collector-emitter voltage of 1.7 V. This IGBT has a continuous collector current of up to 85 A and a peak collector current of less than 100 A. It is based on Trench IGBT technology which offers ultra-low conduction loss as well as short-circuit ruggedness. It has an isolated copper baseplate using DBC (Direct Bonded Copper) technology to provide electrical isolation and high thermal conductivity. 

This IGBT has a low-inductance case and consists of a fast & soft reverse recovery freewheeling diode (FWD) to reduce switching losses and heat generation. It is available in a module that measures 122 x 62 mm.
