The AL5887QJAZW52-13 from Diodes Incorporated is an Automotive-Qualified 36-Channel LED Driver that is ideal for automotive lighting, infotainment displays, status indicators, touch panels, and LCD backlight applications. It requires an input voltage of 2.7 - 5.5 V. This driver can support 36 precision LED current sinks; each channel provides an output current of 70 mA. It includes a 12-bit PWM register with a built-in 30 kHz internal PWM generator, PWM phase shifting, and 6-bit global current dimming. This LED driver features independent color-mixing and brightness-control registers for each channel, enabling precise and dynamic control over lighting effects. It offers both logarithmic and linear brightness scaling for enhanced versatility in application designs. 

This driver has three programmable banks that allow efficient configuration and customization, while hardware-selectable I²C or SPI interfaces support standard data rates for fast SPI-based communication. It has built-in protection features such as fault detection with open-drain fault indication, individual fault masks and open/short registers, and over-temperature protection (OTP) with pre-warning capabilities.
