The AL8866QSP-13 from Diodes Incorporated is a DC-switching LED Controller. It requires an input voltage of 4.7-85 V. This LED driver is a buck-boost, boost, buck and SEPIC (single-ended primary-inductance converter) LED Controller that is designed to drive an external MOSFET for high-power automotive LED applications. It utilizes a fixed-frequency, peak current-mode control architecture to incorporate a spread spectrum frequency modulation technique and achieve low EMI performance. It modulates LED current with analog or PWM dimming techniques. This AEC-Q100-qualified LED driver integrates a soft-start function, limiting the current through the inductor and external power switch during initialization start-up. It includes fault status indicators for protection.
