The NCR320PAS from Nexperia is an Automotive-Qualified LED Driver IC that is ideal for constant current LED drive, generic constant current sources, improving stabilized output current by paralleling drivers, and automotive applications. It requires an input voltage of up to 25 V and provides an output voltage of less than 16 V. This AEC-Q101-qualified LED driver consists of a resistor-equipped NPN transistor with two diodes on a single leadless, medium power chip. It provides a stabilized output current of 10 mA without requiring an external resistor and can also be adjusted up to 250 mA when this resistor is used. This LED driver offers a low voltage overhead of 1.4 V and a power dissipation of 530 mW for better thermal characteristics. It ensures high current accuracy even when there is variation in the supply voltage. This driver IC reduces component count and board space, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. It is available in a thermally-enhanced surface-mount package that measures 2 x 2 mm.
