The CHARIS+ from IES Synergy is an Onboard Charger that is ideal for forklifts, aerial platforms and light electric vehicles. It requires an input voltage of 190-253 V. This onboard charger (OBC) has a power factor of more than 0.65 and an efficiency greater than 85%. It provides a nominal power of 1000 W.  This OBC has the best performance-to-volume ratio, making it a good choice for industrial electric vehicles. It resists shock and vibration and is embedded with features such as thermal, short circuit, reverse polarity and overvoltage protection. This charger is compatible with all types of batteries such as lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries, etc. It includes a manual 4-position selection switch, that enables users to configure the charger according to the specific characteristics of the battery being used.  This IP20-rated OBC also provides an optional programmability feature via CANBUS that allows automated and more sophisticated programming options. It is available in a module that measures 233 x 104 x 66 mm and has a weight of 2 kg.
