The IHLP-1616AB-1L from Vishay is a Shielded Power Inductor that is ideal for PDA, notebook, desktop, server applications, high-current POL converters, low-profile, high-current power supplies, battery-powered devices, DC/DC converters in distributed power systems and DC/DC converter for FPGA applications. This inductor has an inductance of 2.2 µH and an inductance tolerance of ± 20 %.  It has a current rating of 3 A and dynamic contact resistance (DCR) of 83.5 ohms. This inductor is based on an IHLP design that starts with a coil of wire and soft magnetic powdered iron pressed around inside the coil to provide a 'composite' one-piece inductor. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 4.06 x 4.06 x 1.2 mm.
