The AOZ97774QE from Alpha & Omega Semiconductor is a Dual-Channel Digital Multiphase Controller IC that has been designed to power processors, ASICs and FPGAs. It requires an input voltage of 3.3 V. This PMIC is based on Intel VR13 hardware architecture and integrates multiple RC filters, power supply, inductors, and capacitors. It utilizes digital technology to implement all control and power management functions to provide maximum flexibility and performance. This controller IC uses PMBus or Pin-strap interface to select custom configurations stored in Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) and/or Read Only Memory (ROM) and stores additional 15 custom configurations in the ROM. It also consists of a built-in black box fault recorder that captures critical information in the NVM.
The AOZ97774QE IC includes over-current protection and under/over-voltage protection circuitries to prevent short-circuit-related damages. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5 x 5 mm and is ideal for high-current power regulation for VR13 Intel-based microprocessors, DDR memory power regulation for VR13 Intel-based systems, and general-purpose applications.
