The DA9121 from Dialog Semiconductor is a Power Management IC designed for single in-line pin package (SIPP) modules, smartphones, tablets, ultrabooks, Wi-Fi modules, game consoles, and infotainment applications. It requires an input voltage of 2.5 - 5.5 V and an output voltage of 0.3 - 1.9 V. This power management IC (PMIC) operates as a single-channel dual-phase buck converter designed to deliver up to 10 A of output current. It supports remote sensing to guarantee the highest accuracy and supports multiple PCB routing scenarios without loss of performance.

This PMIC features fully integrated pass devices, eliminating the need for external FETs or Schottky diodes. It includes a programmable soft start-up mechanism designed to limit inrush current from the input node. This PMIC incorporates dynamic voltage control (DVC), which allows for adaptive adjustment of the supply voltage based on the processor load. It features a configurable general-purpose input (GPI) that allows for multiple I2C address selections. This PMIC benefits from over-temperature and over-current protection for increased system reliability, without the need for external sensing components. It is available in a wafer-level package that measures 2.5 x 1.7 mm.
