The RAA215300 from Renesas is a High-Performance, Low-Cost 9-Channel PMIC that is ideal for 32-bit and 64-bit MCU and MPU systems, FPGA systems, and building/factory automation system applications. It requires an input voltage of 2.7 - 5.5 V. This PMIC includes internally compensated regulators, a built-in real-time clock (RTC), a 32 kHz crystal oscillator, and a coin cell battery charger that ensure a highly integrated, small-footprint power solution for System-On-Module (SOM) applications. It utilizes a spread-spectrum signal processing algorithm that provides an easy-to-use solution for noise-sensitive audio or RF-integrated systems.
It integrates six high-efficiency buck regulators and three LDOs to provide a complete power system. This 9-channel PMIC is equipped with an internal device to perform registration and an EEPROM unit for configuring and optimizing itself for different application requirements such as power sequences, output voltages, and switching frequencies. It is available in a thermally-enhanced surface-mount package that measures 8 x 8 mm.
