The PD39208 from Microchip Technology is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) IC that is ideal for PoE switches, routers, midspans, industrial automation systems, and video recorders (NVR/DVR) applications. This IC requires an input voltage of -0.3 to 72 V. It is equipped to drive 2-pair power of ports that operates with a single DC voltage input. This PoE IC integrates built-in voltage regulators for streamlined power management. It benefits from protection features, including over-temperature protection and thermal monitoring and low-power dissipation. This PoE IC complies with IEEE 802.3af/at standards and supports cascading up to six PoE devices that enables management of up to 48 logical ports.  

This RoHS-compliant IC has up to 16 configurable power banks, continuous port monitoring, and status tracking for advance power management. It supports fast and perpetual PoE, pre-standard PD detection, and LED stream capabilities. This PoE IC is available in a surface-mount package that measures 8 x 8 mm.
