The BRS100-50RJ8 is a Metal Clad Braking Resistor from Reidon Resistors that is ideal for power conversion applications.  It has a resistance of 50 Ohms and a resistance tolerance of ±5%. This braking power resistor is designed based on wire-wound technology and has a power rating of 100 W. It can withstand a dielectric voltage of 2500 V (AC). It converts unwanted electrical surges to heat and reduces the amount of power flowing back into the system to protect other electrical components from damage. This power resistor is available in a surface-mount package that measures 90 x 80 mm.
