The ADP197 from Analog Devices is a Logic Controlled High-Side Load Switch. This switch requires an input voltage from 1.8 V to 5.5 V and has a continuous input current of 3 A. It provides power domain isolation, which helps extend battery operation. This power switch integrates a low on-resistance and an N-channel MOSFET to minimize power loss. It consists of an over-temperature protection circuit that activates if the junction temperature exceeds 125°C, thereby protecting itself and other downstream circuits from damage.
