The AP22655QWU-7 from Diodes Incorporated is an Automotive Qualified Single-Channel Precision Adjustable Current Limit Switch that has been optimized for applications that require either a precision current limiting operation or to provide up to a continuous load current of up to 3.1 A during heavy loads/short-circuit events. It requires an input voltage of 3 - 5.5 V. This switch consists of a driver, thermal sensing circuit, de-glitch, logic gate, non-latch-off circuit, discharge control, current sense and limit circuit, reverse current limiter/voltage comparator, power MOSFETs, and protection circuitries. It uses an external resistor to offer a pin-strapped current limit threshold from 0.4 A to 3.56 A and sets high current limit settings to achieve current limit accuracy of ±12%.
