The R5528Z001A-E2-F from Nisshinbo Micro Devices is a CMOS-Based Over-Voltage Protector Power Switch IC that has been designed for reliable and efficient circuit protection. It requires an input voltage of 2.3 – 36 V and delivers an output current of up to 3 A. This power switch consists of a gate driver, charge pump, timing and control logic circuit, and protection circuits.  It employs an NMOS pass transistor in combination with a CMOS-based design to achieve a remarkably low on-resistance of 54 milli-ohms while protecting reverse current. The over-voltage protector IC guarantees excellent protection for a range of applications due to its ability to withstand high voltage levels of 6.8 V ± 3%.

This power switch is equipped with various internal circuits, including a reverse current protection circuit, soft-start circuit, startup de-bounce circuit, under voltage lockout (UVLO) circuit, and thermal shutdown circuit, to provide comprehensive protection, and ensure the safety and reliability of circuits. It is available in a wafer-level package that measures 1.27 x 1.27 mm and is ideal for smartphones, tablet PCs, and portable device applications.
