The IPS1025H-32 from STMicroelectronics is a Single High-Side Switch that is designed to drive resistive, capacitive, or inductive loads. It requires an input voltage from 8 to 60 V and has a continuous input current of up to +10 mA. This switch has two different sets of activation thresholds and limitation levels for smart driving of capacitive loads and loads with initial peak current requirements. It modulates the impedance to limit the output current thereby ensuring load protection. The output channel of this switch is protected against junction over-temperature events by a junction temperature sensor. It consists of another temperature sensor that is integrated to monitor case temperature. This switch enables fast demagnetization of inductive loads.
The IPS1025H-32 is available as a surface mount package that measures 10.1 x 10.1 mm and is ideal for programmable logic control (PLC), vending machines, industrial PC peripheral I/O, numerical control machines and general high-side switch applications.
