The SPD2-PV11-3P0-R from Littelfuse is a Surge Suppression IC that has been designed to provide equipment protection from transient over-voltage events lasting in the order of microseconds. It requires an input voltage of up to 1100 V and has a current rating of 9 kA (IEC standard) and 50 kA (UL standard). This IP20-rated surge suppressor offers the capability to clamp and withstand high-energy transients, thereby ensuring low residual voltage during high-energy surge events and a higher nominal discharge current. It consists of a visual life indicator for easy module replacement status checks, pluggable RC connectors for minimizing maintenance and downtime, and increases panel design flexibility with a compact footprint. 

This surge suppression IC offers built-in over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), and thermal protection to prevent over-heating or over-load-related damages. It is available in a DIN rail-mount package that measures 90.7 x 66.1 x 53.8 mm and is ideal for power distribution, industrial controls, electrical loads, computers and communications, HVAC, and medical equipment applications.
