GuRu Wireless, a company making adaptive, long-range wireless energy transfer possible, announces its invitation and participation in the upcoming Army Aviation Unmanned Aircraft Systems & Launched Effects Industry Day at Fort Novosel, Alabama. During the invitation-only event, GuRu Wireless will demonstrate its capabilities that enable the first-of-its-kind persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR).
The demo highlights GuRu Wireless’ technology's ability to keep a small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) in the air indefinitely, eliminating the need for a drone to land for battery change-outs or charging. The solution is enabled by the company’s scalable, fully synchronous wireless power transfer technology platform operating at 24 GHz.
“Over the last several years, GuRu Wireless has solved long-lingering technical problems in wireless energy transfer technology, and today our technology can enable a drone to fly untethered from a power source indefinitely,” said Narbeh Derhacobian, CEO of GuRu Wireless. “This capability is groundbreaking in areas including national security and defense, and we’re excited the Army has invited us to participate in this event alongside other companies providing innovative solutions for UAS.”
