Lyten, an advanced materials company, has introduced the LytCell lithium-sulfur (Li-S) battery. These batteries provide maximum range by eliminating driver range anxiety with their high energy density specifically developed and tuned for electric vehicles (EV). Lyten’s patented Lithium-Sulfur battery chemistry enables a faster recharge time of less than 20 minutes.
Lithium-Sulfur is tolerant to failures that cause catastrophic thermal runaway in Lithium-Ion batteries, thus improving safety in electric vehicles. Lyten battery raw materials come from North American sources to reduce supply chain risk, shipping costs, improve shipping speed and support domestic industrial growth. They do not use Conflict Materials like Nickel and Cobalt and are environmentally friendly. LytCell batteries have the lowest carbon footprint of any EV battery. Unlike other battery chemistries, Lyten’s cells can operate effectively in cold weather down to -30° C as well as in high temperatures up to 60° C.
Lyten’s LytCell Li-S battery technology may be tuned for any application in markets like:
- Automotive EV
- VTOL Vehicles
- Aeronautics
- Aerospace
- Transportation
- Government/Military
Lyten is capable of producing the LytCell batteries in multiple form factors like cylindrical, pouch, and prismatic battery sizes for electric cars, trucks, SUVs, VTOLs, and other applications. This gives automakers freedom to redesign cars, trucks, and SUVs and add features that wouldn’t be possible with legacy Li-ion batteries.
Lyten is developing partnerships with visionary auto manufacturers that want to go beyond the limitations of Lithium-ion battery technology. They enable their partners to become true leaders in the EV revolution by integrating the power of the ultimate battery technology.
Lyten also solves unique battery challenges by making batteries in custom capacity, cycle life, sizing, or any other configurations. They’ve developed proprietary advanced materials and labs to solve the toughest battery challenges.
